What your business should be posting on social media

Social media is one of the main (and FREE) tools in your kit to help raise awareness of your brand, showcase your knowledge and services and share industry news to show you are ‘in the know’. Many also use social media for recruitment to attract new talent.

There are so many businesses out there that don’t quite do this right because it can be so hard to think what to write. Think value - you need people to want to read your content.

With this in mind, we recommend you post these key items on your social media channels:

1) News/thought leadership

2) Industry content

3) Partner content

📰News/thought leadership📰

Sharing business updates is good for existing customers and prospects (to showcase new product launches and client wins).

Thought leadership adds value to the audience through free guidance. It also enables you to present your business as thought leaders and the ‘go-to’ for when they have a need.

📢Industry content📢

Sharing other companies' information creates an unbiased perception, shows your business keeps up-to-date with the latest trends (and saves the audience having to find this information elsewhere:

  • They see your business as the one-stop-shop to all news related to your industry)

  • Sometimes gives an “in” for you to talk about a relatable topic, showing your business is aligned to current needs.

🤝Partner content🤝

If you have partnerships with other businesses, sharing other partner's content has multiple benefits:

  • To increase ties with partners (who benefit from us sharing their content)

  • To encourage them to share your business's posts in return, and thus increase reach with our target market and to show your business is open to partnerships and is associated with great brands.
